Experiencing this situation that affects the lives of many, Katie and Peter escaped from the big city by building themselves a tiny house in a secluded area.
A 3D photographer and environmental activist, Peter and his wife completed their tiny house in a quiet green area in the heart of Atlanta, without going too far from the city.
Later, by adding new sections to the tiny house they built for themselves, they wanted their guests to have this experience as well. This tiny house is so close to the city that you can even reach it by public transport.
You can find similar houses in the area. Although the area where the tiny house is located is close to the city, it is quite quiet.
The silence is broken only by the sounds of frogs, birds chirping, and the branches of the trees banging against each other in the wind.
This tiny house, which is made of environmentally friendly wood materials, consists of three parts.
The hosts describe it as “Mind, Body and Soul”.
The parts of this tiny house, which was built on the trees as a tree house in a small forest, and has an appearance as if it came out of a fairy tale, are connected to each other by suspension bridges.
Mind
The Mind, that is, the living room, is built on 3 trees. The sash windows of this section, which is approximately 129 sqft in size, are made of 80-year-old pressed wood.
Antique furniture inside looks elegant, calming and comfortable. It is also a great privilege to read a book or chat on the balcony overlooking the lush forest.
Body
The second part is the bedroom, the Body, in this part it is built on 4 trees, and the size of this place is 151 sqft. The windows of the section are quite large, it almost gives you the feeling of being in the forest.
Although the roof is made of tin, raindrops are not allowed inside. Inside, there is a large double bed and antique furniture.
Soul
The name of the third part is the Soul, which is actually a deck that completes the parts of the house. This deck is built on the largest of the trees on which the house is built, a 165-year-old pine tree (the homeowners call him “Old Man”). You can retreat in the silence of the forest in the hammock on this deck.
The bathroom of the tiny house is located outside the tree house as a separate section, a 30-second walk away. By making it separate from the house, it is ensured that the tiny houses are independent from the mains.
This tiny Treehouse has been the subject of countless articles, blogs and TV shows. It has also been selected as the “most Wish List place in the world” by Airbnb.
If you want to see and experience this tiny house closely, you can rent it for $350 per night.
